The neZEH 2015 conference:

- Presented the issues and challenges addressed by the nearly Zero Energy Hotels Initiative, with a particular focus on how energy innovation in the hotel sector can contribute to the European and International objectives relating to climate change mitigation.

- Aimed to inspire and drive replication of best practice by showcasing relevant examples and demonstrating the feasibility and benefits of nearly Zero Energy Hotels.

- Hosted  discussions on the opportunities for action to be seized by hoteliers, such as existing financial tools as well as supporting mechanisms.

- Underlined the potential of nearly Zero Energy Building policies to enhance the transition towards sustainable tourism and cities.

- Highlighted the marketing opportunities linked to sustainable strategies, in a context of growing awareness in clients’ behavior.
